Hiking around Narragansett Council

Every season is Hiking Season!

Scouts can discover the great outdoors right nearby! So, get out there and ruminate while you ramble. 

Most importantly be aware of changes in weather and follow the Guide to Safe Scouting.

Massachusetts

Blue Hills Reservation in Milton Massachusetts offers over 100 miles of trails varying from quick loops to 3-hour long hikes.  Check out their website to see more. https://www.mass.gov/location-details/hiking-in-blue-hills

Caratunk Wildlife Refuge located in Seekonk Massachusetts is home to a 2-mile easy walk where you can come across plenty of nature and animals such as muskrats, otters, turtles and more.  Here is the link for more information.  https://asri.org/hike/wildliferefuges/caratunk-wildlife-refuge.html

 

Rhode Island

Norman Bird Sanctuary found in Middletown Rhode Island provides over 7 miles of different hikes covering 10 different trails.  This variety provides an enjoyable experience for all different levels of hikers.  For more information, click this link.  https://www.normanbirdsanctuary.org/trails
