District Committee Key 3 Training (Virtual)

 

WHAT In this course you will learn the four functions of district operation & district committee meetings, the responsibilities of the district key 3, the role of the nominating committee and adult volunteer recruiting best practices.

You must attend both sessions to complete this training. District Committee key 3 members and District Committee Chairs that complete this training are trained for their positions and can wear the “Trained” patch on their Scout uniform.

Meet your Instructors - Bob serves on the Narragansett Council Executive Board and also serves at the national level as the National Venturing Training Chairman. & Chairman of the Philmont Training Center Committee.  Bob has extensive experience in Council and District operations and is a longtime volunteer trainer in many topic areas including; leave no trace and outdoor conservation awards.

Kevin serves on the Narragansett Council Executive Board and former chairman of the Training Committee. Kevin is experienced in both Council and District operations and actively involved in volunteer training across the Council.

                            

WHO - This training is designed and intended for District Committee Key 3 members (District Chair, District Commissioner, District Executive) and anyone who is a District Committee Chairperson.

WHEN: This class will be held virtually over two sessions:

August 11, 2020 7:00PM-9:00PM EST.

August 18, 2020 7:00PM-9:00PM EST.

Participants must attend both sessions to complete the class.

After registering, Participants will receive a link and login information via email the day of scheduled class. 

HOW - This Training/Workshop/Class will be taught in a virtual classroom. The class has a capacity of 20 participants. Small classroom size provides all students with the opportunity to share and interact with the presenter and other participants. Students should be prepared to be challenged and to join the conversation!
